Automotive Industry Quality Management CertificationIATF 16949 : 2016

The IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System Requirements for Organizations in the Automotive Industry is a standard developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) based on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System framework.

The IATF 16949:2016 standard, in combination with ISO 9001, specifies the quality management system requirements for the design, development, production, installation, and servicing of automotive-related products. This standard requires on-site, value-added manufacturing processes, which means processes where tangible production occurs. "Manufacturing" in this context includes all processes involved in producing or assembling components or materials, heat-treated items, painting, plating, or other final processing services as well as other customer-specified products.

In other words, IATF 16949:2016 applies to organizations involved in automotive manufacturing, production of automotive parts, and the manufacturing of service parts. Specifically, it covers organizations manufacturing vehicles, producing automotive-related materials, assembling automotive components, or providing services such as heat treatment, welding, plating, painting, or other services related to the automotive industry. IATF 16949:2016 outlines quality system requirements for the design, development, production, installation, and servicing of automotive-related products.

EMS Environmental CertificationISO 14001:2015

The ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) is one of the most widely used standards by the International Organization for Standardization, with over 320,000 organizations worldwide implementing EMS. It serves as a "green passport" essential for international trade. Our company deeply understands our mission, role, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), and we are committed to sustainable development. We use these principles to establish and implement our corporate code of conduct, which incorporates the standards of the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) as a baseline for daily business operations. The EICC standards cover areas such as labor, health and safety, environmental protection, corporate governance, and business ethics, aiming to ensure a safe working environment, dignified work conditions for employees, and environmental responsibility in the manufacturing process—setting the benchmark for corporate social responsibility within the electronics industry.

In addressing future environmental sustainability issues, we have adopted the ISO 14001 management system, integrating topics such as environmental protection, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and ecological care. Through specific environmental and energy management initiatives, we aim to improve overall environmental performance indicators and enhance environmental quality, thus paving the way for sustainable development.

QMS Design/Production Certification ISO 9001:2015

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) is the updated version in the ISO 9000 series, established by the International Organization for Standardization as an international standard for quality management systems. This standard does not evaluate the quality level of products but rather assesses an organization's ability to control processes during production. It is a standard for organizational management.

The ISO 9001:2015 international standard is based on the quality management principles outlined in ISO 9000. These principles include explanations for each principle, reasons why each is important for organizations, and examples of associated benefits. When an organization effectively applies the seven key quality management principles (QMPs), it can enhance quality performance and customer satisfaction. These principles are:

  • QMP 1 —
    Customer Focus
  • QMP 2 —
    Leadership
  • QMP 3 —
    Engagement of People
  • QMP 4 —
    Process Approach
  • QMP 5 —
    Improvement
  • QMP 6 —
    Evidence-Based Decision Making
  • QMP 7 —

NDAA and TAA Compliance

The global business landscape is increasingly interconnected, posing challenges for organizations worldwide, notably in cybersecurity and its impact on security and surveillance.

Cybersecurity is a critical aspect of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) since August 13, 2019, notably section 889, which prohibits specific vendors' products in video surveillance and telecommunications. This affects international supply chains, GSA contracts, and technologies used by U.S. government-related clients.

At Hi Sharp, we prioritize compliance with governmental and international trade regulations. We offer NDAA-compliant products deployed in government, defense, and commercial sectors. Our Taiwan manufacturing facilities produce TAA and GSA guideline-compliant devices.

We aim for seamless collaboration with customers, dealers, and integrators. For NDAA and TAA inquiries, contact us at sales@hisharp.com. Stay updated on our website for the latest information.
