US imposed sanctions to Huawei because USA has termed “Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.” a national security risk and has proceeded to cease supply business to “HiSilicon”, a company wholly owned by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd via TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited). This made it impossible for Huawei’s HiSilicon chip division to continue producing processors for its products, including phones and surveillance products.

Hi Sharp Electronics Co. Ltd. donated nearly NT$100,000 worth of surveillance cameras to YungShing Elementary School, aiming to enhance campus security monitoring facilities.

HI SHARP is planning to complete the new factory by 2023 to expand the production capacity with more automation product equipments and advanced inspection facility. Furthermore, HI SHARP will be investing on the IOT product line to serve more OEM/ODM/EMS service for global clients.

As the coronavirus outbreak in China continues to develop, we wanted to provide and update on Hi Sharp's actions in response to this serious health emergency. While Hi Sharp operates a number of factories throughout Taiwan, we do not have any facilities in Hubei province or Wuhan city.
