Case Overview

In this project, we deploy camera pillars along the railway fence to achieve comprehensive monitoring of the construction site. We also incorporate AI object detection technology to create an electronic fence. The total length of the construction site is approximately 640 meters, and to ensure the accuracy of detection and judgment, we plan to install one camera every 50 meters. PTZ cameras are placed at elevated positions in the construction area, such as on retaining walls. These cameras not only conduct visual patrols of the construction site but also have the capability to zoom in to inspect the details of events.

The primary purpose of this system is to prevent construction equipment or personnel from mistakenly entering the railway area, causing harm. The system aims to provide warning notifications before accidents occur, preventing occupational accidents and ensuring railway safety. Through the AI Railway Intrusion Detection System, management personnel can take immediate actions in response to incidents, significantly reducing the potential impact of potential occupational accidents, enhancing the safety protection level of construction sites and railways, and reducing the risk of accidents and losses. The system's rapid response and intelligent detection capabilities make it a powerful tool for maintaining the safety of construction sites and railways.

Product Integration 

Through the integration of image-based AI deep learning, we have achieved a superior electronic fencing effect, effectively reducing the occurrence of occupational accidents, enhancing the overall safety level of personnel in the construction site, and providing more efficient construction site management. 

The following are the advantages of AI deep learning compared to traditional infrared electronic fencing:

  • Low False Alarm Rate: AI deep learning has higher recognition capabilities, effectively distinguishing between normal activities and potential threats. This results in a lower false alarm rate, reducing unnecessary alerts.
  • No Restrictions on Detected Objects: AI deep learning is not limited by specific object shapes or sizes. It can detect various types of intruding objects, including personnel, vehicles, and equipment, providing comprehensive security protection.
  • Adjustable Detection Conditions: AI deep learning systems can adjust parameters based on actual needs, adapting to different environments and site characteristics. This flexibility allows for customizable and adaptable alert conditions.
  • Wide Monitoring Range, Effective Detection of Intruders: Compared to the limitations of infrared technology, AI deep learning can cover a larger monitoring range and more accurately identify intruding objects, thereby enhancing detection efficiency.

  • IPC:(1)Bullet Cameras: A total of 13 units, installed every 50 meters on high-voltage poles, to achieve comprehensive visual monitoring. (2)PTZ CamerasA total of 3 units, placed every 200 meters at elevated positions within the construction area, equipped with surveillance capabilities for patrolling and zooming.
  • AI Electronic Fence System:(1)Object Detection: Implementing AI object detection for the railway protection zone in the construction site, accurately identifying construction equipment and personnel. (2)Railway Intrusion Detection: Issuing alarms, monitoring, and detecting objects other than trains in real-time within the track area. (3)Instant reporting and push notifications for personnel or equipment intrusions into the track area, ensuring immediate response.
  • Video Management Server :Provides on-site video storage, playback, and querying functions to support subsequent event review and decision-making by management personnel.
  • 4G LTE Mobile Router:Integrates cameras and AI electronic fence systems for on-site detection and identification of railway intrusions.

Through deep learning technology, we have implemented an advanced object detection system. The system learns and trains within the railway construction site to accurately identify various common objects. This system can precisely delineate specified objects while incorporating zone intrusion alerts, making event triggers more intelligent.

At the moment an alarm is triggered, the system sends instant notification messages to mobile phones or email, informing construction site management for immediate actions. This significantly shortens response time and reduces the risk of accidents in the railway area.

When an intrusion event occurs, using PTZ cameras at elevated points, the system provides real-time video monitoring and can store relevant footage for later review, discussion, and accident investigation.
